Construction Management
Courses targeted to the construction industry to assist supervisors in improving productivity. Course topics include productivity measurement and learning how to estimate projects and establish budgets.
Domestic Violence Training
Training to create awareness and educate on appropriate responses to domestic violence issues.
Flagger Certification & Work Zone Safety
IDOT requires flagging on Illinois roadways to be state certified. This four-hour course will reduce corporate and personal liability, prepare the novice for the first day on the job and enlighten the seasoned flagger.
Food Safety Refresher and

Refresher course for certified food service sanitation managers seeking renewal of their five-year Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH).
Grant Writing Skills
This course is designed for individuals who work in health care, social services, law enforcement, EMS and fire departments, education, state and local governments or religious organizations.
Personal Success Program
The Personal Success Program (PSP) provides vocational skills training to students challenged with mild to moderate cognitive disabilities. PSP opens the door to students who may not otherwise enter post-secondary education. The purpose is to introduce basic skills and concepts for a variety of professions, while also providing opportunities to experience college life.
Project Management Skills
Join us for our Essentials of Project Management Workshop. Gain practical insights on how to deliver your projects more consistently and qualify for 15 PDUs toward your project management certification.
Public Safety/Law Enforcement
In-service training (other than basic academy) is offered to law enforcement employees of all ranks and classifications. Programs assist law enforcement personnel to improve skills and expand knowledge to better serve their communities.
Real Estate
The College of Lake County is certified by the Real Estate Division, Office of Banks and Real Estate under the Illinois Real Estate Brokers and Sales License Action of 2000. A student must meet all requirements under the Act to be able to file to take the Salesperson's, Broker's or Home Inspector's Examination given by the State of Illinois.
Security Officer Training and Private Investigative Training
These courses will prepare new security officers and experienced employees for employment with a certified agency under the Illinois Private Detective, Private Security and Private Alarm Act.
Spanish
Command Spanish™ training provides non-Spanish-speaking students immediate access to functional workplace language skills. Some courses offered are career specific including office and medical personnel. Students can take advantage of classroom or new online training.
Teacher Education
Training for certified teachers, allowing them to obtain Continuing Professional Development Units (CPDUs) toward recertification.
Truck Driver Training (CDL)
Notice of Change: Truck driver training has been withdrawn from the CLC schedule until further notice. For a listing of CDL Certified training schools go to the Illinois Secretary of State Web site.
Web Design Tools Certification
By completing the two courses and exams, you will show a level of mastery and earn the certification of Associate Design Specialist.
